We enjoy looking for sharks teeth on the Rappahannock and Potomac Rivers in Virginia. It is fun and relaxing. One can sit and comb through sand and small rocks or just walk along the beach while searching. We enjoy just a family adventure or going along with others from our church.
Currently our two favorite places to go are Carters Wharf and Fossil Beach in Westmoreland State Park. One can also look for teeth at George Washington's birthplace, but be aware, possessing or removing artifacts is not allowed there.
Besides sharks teeth one can find teeth from rays, crocodiles, dolphins and whales. |
